Resumen: El presente dossier nació como resultado de la insurgencia cívica de Nicaragua a partir de abril de 2018 que ocasionó centenares de muertos, heridos y encarcelados. Dado que la insurgencia cívica en la Nicaragua de estos días fue organizada por los estudiantes, ellos, la juventud, los sistemas escolares, las alianzas que hacen con otros grupos cívicos, son temas primordiales de este dossier. Al mismo tiempo ofrece un abanico de contribuciones significativas sobre las diferentes formas y contextualizaciones de insurgencia civil que sacuden el istmo centroamericano, así como México y Cuba. Se trata, en lo fundamental, de hacer nuevas lecturas que, a partir del campo literario y cultural, analicen las representaciones de las diferentes formas de insurgencias civiles. En foco se sitúan las diversas manifestaciones de subjetividades que, al entrar en un espacio público, expresan sus potencialidades de cara a la construcción de una democracia radical..

Abstract: This dossier came into being as a consequence of the civic insurgency in Nicaragua that began in April of 2018 and that has caused the death, injury or incarceration of hundreds of individuals. Because the civic insurgency in Nicaragua today was, at the outset, organized by students, they, the youth, the educational system, and the alliances these made with other civilian groups are the primary themes of the dossier. At the same time, the dossier identifies a wide range of significant contributions having to do with different forms and contextualizations of civil insurgency that jolts not only the entire Central American isthmus but also Mexico and Cuba. The fundamental task at hand is to produce new readings that, from the perspective of literary and cultural studies, analyze representations of different forms of civil insurgencies. In focus is the positioning of diverse manifestations of subjectivities that, upon entering the public sphere, express their potential value to the work of constructing a radical democracy.
